We are proud of our cooperation with the world’s largest equipment rental company.
After an extensive testing period, we delivered two Gen3 e-PU10 mobile energy storage systems to our partner United Rentals in recent weeks.
These systems have the following specifications:
- 520A inverter capacity.
- 1200A through-feed capability.
- 700A input with synchronisation scope.
- 600 kWh storage capacity.
- Fully liquid-cooled.
- VDL Powernet Monitoring & Control platform
We have also implemented and tested highly advanced user modes, such as:
- Peak shaving over input: Rapidly absorbs peak currents by supplying extra power from the e-PU10 (600% step load from a 32A grid connection)
- Peak shaving (external measurement): Operates in parallel with the grid, with a measurement point 100m from the e-PU10.
- Back-up (AMF): Seamlessly switches from grid-following to island mode, ensuring an uninterrupted power supply.
- Smart Genset Link: Advanced generator control and Stage 5 optimisation (fixed power, droop, isochronous)
- Parallel Operation: Connects multiple systems in a microgrid
- Load Sharing: Combines different energy sources to achieve higher output power.
- Load Balancing: Optimises energy consumption from different sources for minimum grid or generator consumption.
The combination of state-of-the-art hardware and advanced software makes this a versatile, sustainable addition to United Rentals’ extensive Power Rental fleet, formerly EQIN.
