The VDL e-PU Cabinet is an all-in-one energy storage system. It helps optimise energy consumption, manage peak loads, reduce grid demand, and efficiently store and use solar energy.
The e-PU Cabinet includes a VDL controller that operates the system and manages all external connections. This controller enables several smart functions, such as:
- Peak shaving with limited delivery
- Peak shaving with limited feed-in
- Own-consumption optimisation

The e-PU Cabinet is a compact energy storage system. It has 100 kW of power and 241 kWh of storage capacity as standard. It is easy to connect and can therefore be expanded to up to 1 MW and 2.4 MWh of storage capacity. The enclosure withstands extreme conditions, ranging from -20 to +45 degrees Celsius. This ensures reliable operation in the most challenging circumstances.
The VDL controller can reduce grid load with an energy meter. It uses stored energy during periods of high demand. The VDL controller can also curtail the solar panels. This prevents the feed-in limit from being exceeded.
